L’abbey Des Morts on C64 is an incredibly balanced game with a wonderous spooky soundtrack and perfect gameplay. Easy to get in to, hard to beat it is the most fun I have had in a long time on this kind of platformer. If you are a fan of the Commodore 64 you need to play this game and show those Templars the way of the monk. Praise the moon!

I really enjoyed myself with this game. It was challenging but not frustrating. The controls were very responsive and very intuitive. The graphic and sound design bring so much atmosphere to this game; it’s an instant classic for the C64.
Congratulations to the team on such a strong first release! Well done!

This is quite simply a beautiful game. The hi-res graphics are simply lush, and some of the best i’ve ever seen on the mighty C64, the music is beautiful and atmospheric, and the controls are tight and comfortable/responsive. The gameplay is straight forward enough for seasoned gamers, but is bloody tough on certain screens, but that makes it all the more fun when you successfully get through a screen unscathed 😀 I have found at least one secret up to now, with more to find so I believe.

You need to add L’Abbaye Des Morts to your collection C64 fans, you will not be disappointed 🙂

Congratulations to the people involved for creating this awesome game, and to you Double Sided Games on a superb first release…here’s to many more! Cheers!

Such a fun, well-thought out and executed game. It invokes the classic gaming experience, and not only do I enjoy it, but it even made a C64 game enthusiast out of my 13 year old son. Well done!

Excellent game, took some practise to finish but completely manageable.

Controls are superb, the jumps are tight, graphics and music is awesome.

Only sad thing is that I was too slow to get the boxed cartridge version.

This game is a true masterpiece and I am proud that it has been programmed by an Italian like me, Antonio Farina! I also bought Farina’s “Planet Golf” and it’s another masterpiece that shouldn’t be missing in any collection!

Grazie Antonio, sei un grande! 😉

Very well executed conversion of a classic platformer! Beautiful graphics, haunting soundtrack & tight game controls. Skill level is challenging but not impossible. Highly recommended.

is it downloadable in tap format? I don’t have sd2iec to play the d64 file or crt in a real commodore 64. I only have Tapuino, and the game was also released in tape.

    • Double Sided Games

There’s no TAP format available sorry.

    A magnificent gem!
I tried all the version for computers / consoles but this one simply knocks it out of the park.
I would be very happy to pay for it, totally deserved…
The video / audio / controls on c64 made me love this marvelous game that I never understood on other platforms.
I would really like to play it also on Vita / PSP but when I run it on Vice I just get a blue screen for both cart and disk.
    Any suggestion, maybe?
Thanks for this amazing game, a true love letter to a different and beautiful past.
